Description:

This atlas includes full-color photographs of actual cadaver dissections instead of idealized illustrations, to accurately and realistically represent anatomical structures. Often used by students as an alternative or supplement to their lab experience, and as an introduction to exactly what they should see before they dissect, as well as a study aid before practical/identification exams. "Doody's Core Titles™ 2009."

3Not so much  Feb 16, 2010
Honestly this book is terrible. Half of the structures you need to know are not labeled. Your cadaver is never going to look like the pictures, they are way too clean. There are not enough views to make the book worthwile. DO NOT use this for your dissector you might as well get a Netters coloring book. There are also no explanations just labels. Go get a Clemente and check this one out at the library and get into lab cause that is the only way to learn the lab portion. Oh, and do not even think of using this book to study the internal organs it just is not going to help you at all. Its ok for the upper and lower extremities.

5Very Satisfied  Feb 15, 2010
The description was true to what it was, it was in great condition and for a great price. I am very pleased with my purchase.

5Great  Dec 13, 2009
I am a first year med student, and this book made a huge difference in my grades. You can only spend so much time in the anatomy lab, and the other atlas's that use drawings are great for learning theory, however this book allowed me to prepare well for practicals where you must identify the structure on a cadaver. Also, unlike studying real cadavers without definitive feedback, I was 100% certain whether I named the structure correct or not. The layout of the book is great. the pictures are real, and the arrows to the structures are numbered so you can name the structure without seeing the correct answer, then verify the number and name on the bottom of the same page. Well worth the investment, my grades went up significantly and made dissection much easier.

4Good book  Oct 02, 2009
The book arrived on time and in perfect condition so I have no complaints about shipping and condition.

It has been somewhat helpful in my anatomy class. It's nice to have actual photos of cadvers and not just pictures. My only complaint is that it does not have enough pictures. I looked through the whole book for the picture of a lumbrical but could not find one. I'm thinking of buying Netters to complement it. (All my anantomy lecturers use Netters, that's another reason I'm buying it)

The book also seems a bit disorganised. I try looking at the table of contents when looking for things but I often end up flipping through it or checking the index.

Overall its a good book.

5Excellent pictures  Sep 18, 2009
The book has very clear and instructional pictures. They could be a little larger, but it does not affect the quality of the work. Another good point is that all the human body is well covered, there is no unclear area.

To sum up: I recommend the product for everyone who intend to have a good anatomy book, even if not english native speaker
