4gift  Jun 26, 2009
This item was given as a gift to a friend, who specifically requested it, and expressed great satisfaction on receiving it. Pricing, delivery and product integrity were all satisfactory. My rating it a 4 out of a possible 5 reflects only the fact that I lack first hand experience with the purchased item, and can only reflect the limited information conveyed to me by its recipient.

4Kings of the LAte 90's!!!!!!!!  Aug 07, 2008
This album was So sick!!! Very intimidating production and lyrics this album split my dome and it still does.... its just so in depth it goes way further than anything they do now.

3Another solid album, but not their best  Mar 26, 2008
Three 6 Mafia's 1997 effort "Chpt. 2: World Domination" is a solid album from the Memphis collective. What I like about 3-6 is that their style is totally unique, and that they stay true to their sound; a Three 6 Mafia album from eleven years ago sounds a lot like one from today. "Chpt. 2" shines when the production is at its best. DJ Paul and Juicy J are renowned for their dark southern beats, and there are some fine ones here. The songs with the frenetic drums, creepy piano lines, thumping bass, and fist-pumping chants are really enjoyable and effective songs. The listener probably knows not to expect any mind-blowing lyricism from the rappers, but their Tennessee drawls, paranoia and angry, menacing verses are often appealing. As a whole "Chpt. 2" is a very dark sounding album, and it can be good for a late-night listen.

The biggest problem with "Chpt. 2" is its bloated length. At 22 tracks approaching 80 minutes, there is a steady amount of filler. While not necessarily bad, about half the tracks are forgettable, sounding too similar and redundant. By the halfway point, it becomes somewhat tedious, and the listener will probably hit the skip button a few times. Highlights include "3-6 in the Morning," a head-spinning storyteller with great production. The club banger "Tear da Club Up 97" is 3-6 at their best, with their signature dark backing, frenetic beat, chants, and trademark sound. The slow roller "Late Night Tip" is also a great song. "N 2 Deep" and "Anyone Out There" are ominous and effective tracks dripping with paranoia. These highlights are really cool tracks that display why 3-6 has such a devoted fanbase, but it takes a little patience to get to them.

"Chpt. 2: World Domination" is a decent offering from 3-6, but it's not their best. The highlights are certainly worth hearing, but except for the die-hard fans, the album isn't essential because it is so bloated. For fans of 3-6's unique dark sound and DJ Paul and Juicy J's production, however, there is some good material here.

51 word..."Classic"  Mar 02, 2008
What can u say about Chapter 2:World Domination? 1 word, a "Classic". This is probably 3/6 @ their best, including Mystic Styles and Chapter 1 The End. This album starts off w/ a couple of intro tracks, but once it gets into the music, its good from start to finish. The beats are on point on this c.d., from start to finish. 3/6 also upped their lyrics and slowed their flow down, instead of trying to rap like Bone. I like Bone, but let Bone be Bone and 3/6 be 3/6. This c.d. also has some of the last remaining dark sounding beats before they hit mainstream.
When I first heard this c.d., I was like damn, a straight banger right here, not to mention its from 1997, 11yrs old, but still sounds fresh.
So do urself and do music a favor agrab this album, cuz u will never hear 3/6 like this again, never!
