Only one good song Jun 26, 2006 Except for "Caraluna", the best song in the album, the remaining ones are not very interesting. If you are buying because you heard "Caraluna", you would do better by downloading just that song and saving $15 for another album.

You'll like this album Mar 09, 2005 I've loved Bacilos since the first time I've heard them... Caraluna... very infectious beat with artistic undertones. I enjoyed their music even before I started learning Spanish. As an avid Beatles fan, I definately heard influences of the group in Bacilos' work. Very Good singers & album. Comprarlo ahora!

My first Million! Jan 10, 2005 With this album they consolidated in the Latin music's scene, it is very well a work fact, caraluna is a very good sample of the talent of this group, and they closed with fastener of Gold with its primer millon, it is a disk very folklore and beautiful at the same time, this disk won't bore you for anything.

cute - a bit TOO cute Oct 05, 2004 Despite the primarily negative things that I am about to say, I have listened to this album a LOT since getting it about 2 weeks ago. The thing is this - I hardly ever make it past the fourth track. The first song (Mi Primer Million) is a great, perky beginning to the album and gets you hooked. The second cut, Caraluna, is absolutely sublime in my opinion, largely for reasons that have nothing to do with what is basically an okay-not-great pop song. The lyrics remind me of some of the songs on Manu Chao's first album (word choice mostly, nothing thematic - I'll always love you best, Manu!) and the motif of seeing your lover's face in the face of the moon resonates with the little I know about Japanese poetry. And I just have a thing about the way that every song on the radio reminds you of your lover as well. But then there's the rest of the album. There's no depth here, nothing that makes me believe that they've read poetry or listened to Manu Chao or anyone else who has a varied style and intriguing lyrical content. So I'll continue to listen very happily to the first two tracks and then switch to another cd that actually gives me something to think about.
