Beautiful! Aug 25, 2009 Eydie Gorme's beautifully unique voice is complemented by the beautiful music provided by Los Panchos. Excellent CD Songs are "oldies" but truly "golden".
Eydie Gorme and Los Panchos Feb 25, 2009 My Parent's had this vinyl album in Mexico City 1968. My Mother is American my Father a Spaniard. I've been listening to it since I was 6 years old in 1968. Eydie Gorme is very famous, she knows how to speak 8 languages fluently. She is by far my favorite singer. More Latin people should hear this, not to mention "Los Panchos" are also one of the best Latino groups af all time. I am so Happy you carried this album.
It is one of the best classics of all time. Of course you have to know the Spanish language to appreciate it.
Thank You,
Lynn Arroyo
Mother-in-law just loved this cd! Jan 07, 2009 MIL used to listen to this and she this is what she wanted for Christmas and she loved it!
the best music of Eydie Gorme's career Dec 06, 2008 Eydie Gorme and Los Trio Panchos delivered the best version ever of Noche de Paz (Silent Night) but that album, "Navidad Means Christmas", is unavailable in mp3 format and the CD is rather pricey. So I was looking instead to add to their album I already have, "More Amor". This "Canta En Español" must have been their first collaboration.
In shopping around Amazon I notice that 10 of its 12 songs are on a 30 song mp3 compilation, "Tesoros de Colección", for only four bucks more than this one; all tracks but 2 and 8, "Piel Canela" and "Di Que No Es Verdad", are included. 8 of the 12 songs on "More Amor" are included as well, along with another 11 tracks.
Regardless of which format or collection these songs arrive in, this is the best music of Eydie Gorme's career. I'm not a fan of her duets with Steve Lawrence but these songs with Los Trio Panchos are, for lack of a better word, gorgeous.
¡Qué fabuloso! Aug 13, 2008 This collaboration between the Los Panchos and Edyie Gorme (remember Steve and Edyie on the Carol Burnett show?) is NUMERO UNO. You don't need to speak or understand Spanish to enjoy the beautiful harmonies of these beautifully interpreted Latin standards. ¡Es fantástico!
