 The Best Guide for the 40D I have found. Oct 29, 2009
I have tried several guides for the EOS 40D and have been extremely disappointed with all of them except for this one by David Busch. Enough said.

Very informative, well written. Outstanding photos of menus. A great way to learn how to use the 40D as well a learn photography.

This book was about half the price of Barnes & Noble and arrived in just a few days after placing the order.

This book explains systematically and in detailed fashion the multiple features of the Canon EOS 40D camera.
It is far more readable than the dense black and white guidebook included with the camera at purchase and is pertinently illustrated with many of the author's own colour photos.
The writing style is relaxed and lively what is greatly appreciated for such a potentially dry topic, though this occasionally leads to repetitions and somewhat blurs certain points.
Overall, this work is very highly recommended for anyone who wants to maximize what he can draw from his Canon EOS 40D camera which is much more powerful and versatile than he probably imagines before reading the book!

A must for every Canon 40d owner Jul 13, 2009
This is a guide, a manual for the Canon Eos 40D. It is not a photography book. It describes all the technical features of the 40D, some digital tips and theory. It is a must for any 40D owner, it should come included with the camera. You have to read and practice in order to understand an remember all the things that this great camera has. You pay a lot of money for it, but learning to use all the settings, all the things that can be done, you will find that it worth every cent. This book helps you discover all this things. The manual that comes with the camera with the little hard to read words is an invitation to keep it in the box. Do a favor to your future pictures, buy this book. It looks like an advertisement, but it is not, it is a recommendation.
