Another Coheed Classic Dec 02, 2008 This review will be short, if you are a fan of Coheed and Cambria you will love it!!!
Good but a tad dissapointing... Dec 07, 2007 I am a huge Coheed and Cambria fan and I was extremely excited to buy this when I saw it in the store.
Now first, the concert. The concert, which despite being a bit short (Although the Alexisonfire concert last night was 65-70 minutes) at 58 minutes long (2 minutes being taken up by the credits) was good. The setlist was great! They perfomed The Crowing, my favorite Coheed song.
However, the sound quality is HORRIBLE. It comes with a 2.0 Dolby Stereo track and a 5.1 Surround Sound track. I began watching it with 5.1 Surround and the audio was so scrambled, I could hardly tell what was going on!!!! And not only that, I could barely hear Claudio's voice. About halfway through IKSOSE3, I restarted it with Stereo and guess what? I COULD HEAR CLAUDIO'S VOICE!!!! wEwT!
Stereo sounded much better, especially with Claudio's amazing rendition of "The Light and the Glass" at the end.
The menus are lousy too. Even the cheesy looking menus on the DVD with the deluxe edition of No World For Tomorrow were cooler looking.
The Extras are OK at best. THere's no rehersal footage, just some footage from performances at Skate 'N' Surf, which is a nice addition, but just with even worse sound quality. The back of the DVD states there's an interview with Claudio and Travis(?). Yeah, well if the all-of-a-minute-and-a-half of Claudio telling someone which songs he loves playing live is considered an "interview", then there ya go. The interview with the other members is f--king hilarious though, I was crying laughing so hard. They must be stoned or something. The videos are a nice edition, but they aren't anything we HAVEN'T seen before. But I did like "The Making of the Blood Red Summer video".
Overall, this was an OK DVD. THe concert made it worth the money though.

Speechless Jun 08, 2006 This dvd has 5.1 dolby digital surround sound, let me tell you there is no other way to watch a concert dvd other than in surround sound. I have sourround sound in my room and the preformance was soo good, i felt the room shake and so did my body. It sounds like you are really there, you heard the crowd behind you coheed's guitars from the left and right speakers and the lead singers voice from the central one. It is an experience that everyone should do at least once. This is one Concert DVD you will watch over and over again.

a good dvd for the best live band in the world Mar 01, 2006 This DVD is a great benchmark of Coheed and Cambria's live show from the IKSSE3 tours. every song is a stellar performance and fun to watch. the audio quality is top notch and the camera work is just as good. The set was a bit short for the average Coheed headlinig show. The only problem is that no matter how good this DVD is it can never fully replicate the power, energy, and emotion of Co&Ca's live show. that would just be impossible.
