This breezy collection serves as a showcase for the many hip-hop R&B vocal groups currently on the Sony Music roster (Blaque, B*Witched, and Sygnature). Dublin's youthful teen group B*Witched revive and update Toni Basil's one-hit wonder, the cheerleader anthem "Mickey," while TLC's Lisa "Left Eye" Lopez's protégés Blaque contribute two versions of "As If" and a remix of "Bring It All to Me." Old-school New York City trio the Jungle Brothers add a Mardi Gras groove to "Freakin' You." Lauren Mayhew, who plays Marra on the afternoon soap Guiding Light, leads her group P.Y.T. with "Anywhere U.S.A," a blend of hip-hop beats and mainstream pop appeal. --Rob O'Connor
