give ice cube and eazy e their titles back Aug 22, 2007 puffy wanting to sign southerrn rappers mainly because southern hip hop rules the charts and BET decides to scoop jeezy and 3 of his boys up and make mopre mockery of the west coast rap scene by copying one of the best rap songs of all time who told these clowns they were comparable to nwa anyway nwa was groundbreaking and shocked black and white america something these fools will never do screw these clowns.

Good album but they are not the new NWA! Aug 11, 2006 I didnt want to give this album a chance because the first single Dem boyz is kind of weak. But I gave it a shot and was a little bit surprised. Felonies, No Talkin, Dont Put Your Hands On Me, Gangstas feat Eazy E are Boyz N Da Hood at their best. Look, Lay It Down and Keep It N Da Hood 2Nite are good tracks also. There are some blemishes on this album though. Still Slizzard, B----es and Bizness feat Rick Ross, If You A Thug and Happy Jamz feat The Product are all filler. Happy Jamz might have been okay if it wasnt for the dull beat and sloppy singing by Jazze Pha. The group's fatal flaw is the dead weight Jody Breeze. Felonies could've easily been a classic down south joint if it wasnt for Jody Breeze's non-rhyming verse. If that werent eneough he ruined P---y MFs with a verse that had nothing to do with the title. Example: "I got a dame from France/so freaky that she sleeps in a three point stance. Now tell me what does that have to do with P---y Mfs? Nothing. Even Trick Daddy's verse was better than that. The only members that hold up this album is Big Gee, Big Duke and Young Jeezy (surprisingly!). Jody Breeze brought this album down but he did have his moments in tracks like Boyz N Da Hood interlude, Trap N***az, Dont Put Your Hands On Me and No Talkin(his best performance) but those moments are few and between. All in all this album is good but they can never touch NWA especially when one of their members (guess who? LOL) needs to step his rap game up immediately! Standout Tracks: BOYZ N DA HOOD INTERLUDE, FELONIES, LOOK, GANGSTAS, DONT PUT YOUR HANDS ON ME, NO TALKIN and KEEP IT N DA HOOD 2NITE.

a pretty good debut... Jul 28, 2006 this cd is defintitely not one of the best i own but it is a good debut for the group n for young jeezy. it's easy to see that he is one of the best rappers in the group from the start but for a group they do well. most of the songs have the young jeezy feel to them and remind me a lot of his cd. but some are a lil bit wack. overall, it was an excellent debut for jeezy and if u like listening to his music u will enjoy this preview of the beginning of his rap career.
