Constantly Innovative; Sagisu does it again Apr 30, 2008 And I say he is constantly innovative for a good reason. For those who are familiar with Shiro Sagisu's work (Bleach OST 1 & 2, Memories of Nobody, Evongelion, etc) you know this guy is constantly changing it up on you with his musical composition. Anyone who has watched Bleach anime can concur that the music is just awesome, hands down, and the soundtrack from Memories of Nobody, although different than what was probably expected was still a great addition. Which brings me to Diamond Dust Rebellion. I have yet to see the movie, but I didn't hesitate to get the soundtrack when I got the chance. Anyway, this one is definitely different then what we are used to hearing for Bleach. Sagisu takes a noticeably creative turn with this movie, and while different, it works. I cant say completely, not having seen the movie, but the music itself works for the most part. However, I wasn't thrilled with a good 1/4 of the tracks, but they weren't bad either. This is like your standard CD where you will have to pick and choose your favored songs and skip around the others. Again, not what I expected, but still a good soundtrack. I give it a 4.5/5.
Stand Out Tracks:
Diamond Dust
Recollection I
Invasion
Breakthrough Even
Spiritual Bond
