It's ok Sep 12, 2009 I like listening to it, even though some of the pieces have been shortened. The only problem I have with it is that some of the pieces are mislabeled. Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue(Andante) is actually the Finale, and instead of the Finale on the next track it goes to "Morning" from the Peer Gynt Suite. Then instead of "Morning" on the next track you get the Hallujah Chorus, and so on.
Blah Apr 30, 2009 The only reason this cd gets two stars, is that the intended song selection was initially good. However, the cd sounds like (you know what). I'm not an audio expert, but I think they individually recorded each instrument individually in a sound room, and then mixed all of them together, for all of the songs. A lack of big-hall sound gives it a hollow / empty feeling when listening to it. Save your money or look elsewhere!
must have Jan 17, 2008 This set is really a must have for anyone who enjoys good music.
We are on our 3rd copy- we scratched the first and lost the second in a move.

Waste of money Jan 12, 2006 Watch out for the volume leveling mentioned in another review. Surely the compliers could have come up with a better sort order than by composer. The change in tempo/volume between pieces makes it impossible to enjoy. My two CD's ended up in the trash.

Great Music Compilation Aug 15, 2005 This is a great CD full of many songs that you will recognize and enjoy. If you are someone who likes classical music but doesn't necessarily know which songs or which composers you like, then this CD is for you. You will likely recognize many of the songs as the classical songs you would have picked out to be your favorites.
