has some good tracks Oct 14, 2009 Samson, Hotel Song, Apres Mois and On the Radio are really good tracks. Unfortunately, the rest are bland and her voice isn't that great (she tends to hit really flat and cringe-worthy notes). All in all, it is a cute album, with a few really nice songs. I would be curious to see how she would produce her own work, though.
Regina Spektor is Cool! Sep 12, 2009 Her music is very interesting, quirky and catchy! I could have done without the bonus CD which is a little to avant garde for my taste. The main CD is excellent!

Begin to wonder where Regina Spektor has been all your life Jun 03, 2009 Begin to Hope
This review refers to the new (2009) vinyl version of Begin to Hope. This fantastic album has finally been released on double vinyl, featuring the original 12 album tracks, the tracks off the Special Edition bonus disc, as well as a solo, acoustic version of Better, the Radio Recut version (previously only released on vinyl, unless you managed to score a promo cd single of it) of Better and the two iTunes bonus tracks (previously unreleased on cd or vinyl) Hero and The Bartender. If you love Regina and vinyl, this will be heaven for you.

Catchy Cheek Jun 02, 2009 I love, love, love this album. Between the unique sound of her voice and the sometimes whimsical, sometimes dark lyrics, this CD is towards the top of my all time favorites. She is a true original in the age of cookie cutter "Is it just me or do all these songs sound the same?" music.
