these guys suck Jun 24, 2009 this album was garbage...no memorable beats, or anything even remotely entertaining as far as lyrics....bad delivery also coupled with a very suburban sound.....the beats were well produced hence the 2 stars but the rest of the album was pure poo. the one mc thats backing this group sounds like every other mc thats out in the underground but his lyrics need work. all he raps about is society and how hard life is for him and others...no one cares, i don't buy this music to hear about subcultural issues in the phillipines or anywhere else for that matter. there are other mc's who can pull off the whole political rap style like IMMORTAL TECHNIQUE, who has incredible flow and top notch lyrics, which really make you stop and think but this guy has maybe a fraction of the talent that immortal technique does. i saw all the great reviews and i thought if i don't stop to review this item than those people out there looking to buy, will end up making a huge mistake. if you are filipino and want to support your man than by all means do so....but if you buy this cd experimantally than you will regret it. instead get the new doap nixon, jedi mind tricks or outerspace, and maybe if you feel you're ready than try out the army of the pharoah albums....thats real hip hop...hardcore knockin beats and battle rap delivery, every track makes you feel like you just guzzled three redbulls and are ready to throw down. thats the kind of music that will move you and have your head nodding.
great beats and phat rhymes Feb 11, 2009 Man this album is fantastic! The beats on this album are amazing and so diverse. I don't know how Sabzi does but he's legend. I really like geologics rhyming too, a lot! Great voice and well thought lyrics that tell a story. Morning of America is one of my most fav hip-hop/rap songs of all time.

do yourself a favor, buy this Jul 25, 2008 Albums like this are the reasons why I'll never give up on real hip-hop. Today's over-crowded market of clone Rappers and their reliance on image and gimmicks its so refreshing to hear a Group that goes beyond that and stands on its own with no guest Producers or Lyricists...Imagine that.
Here's an album that speaks on current and relevant issues without preaching. Geologic's flow is relentless yet calm accompanied by Sabzi's Production which is unique and matches the content in each track. This is an album your going to play top to bottom, over and over.
Also note they have another album and a EP, both great.
Such a Great Album Feb 27, 2008 This album is absolutely amazing. I love their style and message and their beats are great. If you haven't heard the blue scholars then frankly, you are missing out. Once you listen to their soulful beats and insightful rhymes, you will never look at hip-hop the same. I must admit that i am from Seattle so there is some bias in this, but if your a fan of underground hip-hop then I highly recommend that you buy this album!

Blue Scholars : Bayani Feb 19, 2008 Such a good album. This stuff is real hip hop, with real flow, real beats, and a real meaning. Blue scholars own the hip hop scene in Seattle and are taking it in the right direction.
