I Didn't Hum Them For A Day Apr 10, 2003 `Starbuck' sounds good when it starts, but bores before it's done, the same can be said for all the `best' tracks on this exploration of Brit Rock blandness. Boring, one note music that's really hard to like.

bang! Jul 17, 2001 i just recently discovered this record for myself and love it. alas, it seems to have gone nowhere and the label appears to have done little to nothing to support it. now with another band called bond gaining popularity (admittedly, they should have been able to come up with something better than that), these guys appear headed ever deeper into obscurity. that's a pity, because their songs really are powerful and memorable, anthemic even. the lyrics can be rather hard to make out, but with a little effort they come through and are frequently quite clever. musically the band puts me in mind of the great glam of mott the hoople at their best or david bowie in his ziggy and the spiders from mars days.
Bonded Jun 27, 1998 Bond, not a very catchy name. But don't let that stop you. There are some serious power-pop tunes here. Think: INXS meets Blur. There are tunes so catchy that you'll hum them for a week. Guaranteed.Solid.
