*Warning* This Remix Album Is Toxic! Oct 06, 2009
This *14-track Japanese Edition comes with diverse artwork, lyrical glossy booklet, sticker (like cover artwork), obi-strip, and jam packed mixes/remixes some 3+ minutes and others 8+ minutes. It's an album with many songs from her In the Zone release as well as her earlier ones like ...Baby One More Time and more! Every track is club filled, party sensational, and energetically boost-full to the even "downiest" of listeners. The ballad remixes as well as the fast tempo ones like "Toxic" are off the charts hot! Dance fans have plenty to enjoy, pop listeners too, and club junkies will have their cravings satisfied.
The remixes/mixes are divided like this. The longest ones are the following: "Don't Let Me Be The Last To Know" (Hex Hector Club Mix (Edit)) [8:14], "Toxic" (Peter Rauhofer Reconstruction Mix (Edit)) [6:46], "I'm A Slave 4 U" (Dave Aude Slave Driver Mix) [5:51], "I'm Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman" (Metro Mix) [5:25], "Stronger" (Mac Quayle Mixshow Edit) [5:20] and "Touch Of My Hand" (Bill Hamel Remix) [5:19].
The slow mixes/remixes are: "Everytime" (Valentin Remix) [3:24], "Early Mornin'" (Jason Nevins Remix) [3:38], "Someday (I Will Understand)" (Hi-Bias Signature Radio Remix) [3:46], "Breathe On Me" (Jacques Lu Cont's Thin White Duke Mix) [3:55], "Me Against The Music" JUSTICE Remix Featuring Madonna [4:10], "And Then We Kiss" (Junkie XL Remix) [4:27], "... Baby One More Time (David Ospina 2005 Remix) [4:37], and "Someday (I Will Understand)" (Gota Re-Mix Feat. MCU) [4:41].
One of the Japan bonus tracks, "Someday (I Will Understand)" Gota Re-mix Feat. MCU [4:41] is quite a *spotlight* for the featured artist who makes the song completely different by adding R&B elements as well as hints of hip-hop. Favorites for dance fans for sure are "And Then We Kiss" (Junkie XL Remix) [4:27] for the techno styles that swirl, elevate and then bursts, "Breathe On Me" (Jacques Lu Cont's Thin White Duke Mix) [3:55], "Touch Of My Hand" (Bill Hamel Remix) [5:19] for Britney's vocals along the techno dance up-tempo beats and "Stronger" (Mac Quayle Mixshow Edit) [5:20] for the dance and vocals that are empowering and impacting! The entire listening includes tribal drums, techno swirls, and elevating trance. There's also much electronica enhanced vocals on a few. All the remixes preserve the singing for the hard core club junkies who are curious. This is an excellent album definitely underrated and much enjoyed across time--making it a classic remix sensation!
*The US release is an 11 track and does not have the Japan bonus songs: "Stronger" (Mac Quayle Mixshow Edit) [5:20], "I'm Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman" (Metro Mix) [5:25] and "Someday (I Will Understand)" Gota Re-mix Feat. MCU [4:41].

i have these cd... it's the my favorite remixes cd my rating of the cd is 5. these cd comes with 3 additional remixes!
my songs rating:
1. Toxic (Peter Rauhofer Reconstruction Edit) [20/10] these is th best song of the CD! britney sing it really great!
2. Me Against The Music (Ft Madonna) (Justice Remix) [8.5/10] at the first time i heard this song i loved! but it nauseates you when u hear these so much
3. Touch Of My Hand (Bill Hamel Remix) [10/10] This song is really great... i love to hear it! i'm sure u will love it!
4. Breathe On Me (Jacques Lu Cont's Thin White Duke Mix) [10/10] I love this song! i like to hear britney breathing at the start. i'm sure u will like it!
5. I'm A Slave 4 U (Dave Aude Slave Driver Mix) [7/10] everyone loved this song i think i'm the only one who don't liked
6. And Then We Kiss (Junkie Xl Remix) [15/10] Gosh i don't know which song is best this or toxic. these song is great and a brand new song. it's perfect
7. Everytime (Valentin Remix) [7/10] these song is really dance n i dont like everytime remixes so much
8. Early Mornin' (Jason Nevins Remix) [10/10] These song rocks!
9. Someday (I Will Understand) (Hi-Bias Signature Remix) [10/10] [10/10] great song!

Some songs are so cool that you just have to set your player on "repeat one more time" mode! I love song "Early morning" and "Touch of my hand"!! These are just masterpieces! All others are great also!! Strongly reccomend to buy this album!! IT'S OUR TIME MUSIC!!

I love this remix album, too bad the US did not get this one, for one, the cover is so much better actually having Britney on it and all. The songs are great, its great for working out, partying and all in all, just a great collection of music remixed, revisited, and reinspired. FIVE STARS all the way!

My opinion:
I think the "Toxic", "Touch of My Hand", "Breathe on Me", "I'm a Slave 4 U" and "Don't Let Me Be the Last to Know" remixes are the only real remixed songs, as all the others are (vocally) kinda the same. Don't get me wrong, I do like the other songs; but Toxic is just my favorite.

I like all the songs a lot, except for the remix of "...Baby One More Time". The beginning sucks, but I like the rest of the song better (when she starts to sing). Toxic is my favorite up-beat song by Britney, and the remix is wonderful too. It's just the best! This is currently my top 5 songs of the album, but it changes all the time, except for my #1 & #2:

My album average is 8.2/10, very good for just a remix album! So it's surely worth buying! The extra remixes are good, I kinde wished they were on the original album and that she'd remixed hits like "(You Drive Me) Crazy", "Do Somethin'" and "My Prerogative".
