Anthony Green doesn't disappoint. Aug 29, 2009 A great solo album for ant. Has a nice mix of elements of his previous work (dear child being a shining example). Tracks that appeared previously on a lesser-known project of Anthony's, High And Driving, reappear as a new version on Avalon (Babygirl, First day of work at the microscope store). Different songs will appeal to different listeners. Some songs may be slower and seem to drone on, but not a negative change for Anthony, as this gives him a chance to let his vocal talents and lyrical talents shine in a different light.
Having been a fan of Anthony's work since Zolof the Rock and Roll destroyer, I found this album refreshing; Rarely do we get to hear him cover several different styles of music. Hearing the High and Driving tracks re-recorded and slightly re-written was also fairly nostalgic.
Well done.
awesome Jun 29, 2009 Anthony greens solo album "Avalon" is in my opinion, one of his greatest works. With songs like "she loves me so" showing off his amazing high vocal range. This album shows a great contrast from his more intense work in circa survive and saosin. Even if you haven't followed Green through his career in previous bands it is still an awesome CD with a lot of inspiring lyrics.
Great! May 18, 2009 Anthony Green is an amazing musician and this album does not disappoint. I love listening to it and have yet to grow tired of it. Everyone should buy this album, you won't regret it.
Seriously? Seriously. Dec 25, 2008 This album is a prescription for a good day. One track, two tracks, the whole record. I didn't believe it until I bought it myself. Perfect way to break that Starbucks addiction; this is the only $12 I can't stop listening to.
