What Is All The Fuss About !! May 10, 2006 DuranDuran are a good pop group but let's face it, with the exception of RIO, the tracks on a Duran album that are not hits are generally just mediocre. Astraunaut is no exception. They deliver big-time on Reach Up for the Sunrise & Bedroom Toys but other than that, this album is a non-event. Both album and singles didn't sell well on release...I bought it because for some strange reason, I always buy their albums (good or bad)..Maybe, I am hoping that they will deliver a classic album like RIO one more time..guess I'll just have to wait for the next album.

Duran Duran: The Astronaut has landed! Sep 07, 2005 Fantastic album. What a treat having the original Fab Five back together after 20-some years! Instant classics such as What Happens Tomorrow, Bedroom Toys, Nice!, Taste the Summer and Still Breathing.
We get the funky return of early-eighties Duran funk on this one, especially with the happening basslines of Taste the Summer and Nice! Still Breathing has some of the most meaningful and haunting lyrics of any Duran Duran song. It hits close to home and it's good to see the band putting more emotional feeling into their music. It's classic Duran Duran, but their sound has matured for the better.
What a feeling to still have Duran Duran making awesome new music! It has certainly helped make my own life journey all the more enjoyable.

Astronaut DualDisc Aug 02, 2005 With over 70 million albums sold worldwide in a 25 years-carreer, new-wave legends Duran Duran celebrated a great return with the original five reunited lineup, a number of acclaimed concerts and awards, and the eagerly awaited ASTRONAUT album.

Reach Up for This DUAL DISC Jul 13, 2005 G'day World,
I have just listen to "what I think" is one of the best CD I have heard in along time, Duran Duran "Astronaut" The DUAL DISC version in 5:1 DOLBY Surround sound.
I have have Box set (CD and DVD) But this new version "5:1 DOLBY" is the best way to listen to this Album.
The Boys and the producer have put a lot of time into the mixing of this DUAL DISC. If you have the CD already """""GO out and BUY THIS VERSION """""""NOW""""""""
This is why.
(Reach Up for The) Sunrise.
What away to open a CD. The separation of all the instruments to each speaker and Simon's vocals sitting well balanced in the mix is just fantastic. With the sound effects running "and I do mean running" around the room. WOOOOOOHHHHH ...... Like I said before what a way to start a CD.
What Happens Tomorrow. Why didn't this make it in to the Top 10 in Australia?????? Why didn't Sony release it here in Australia, is what I should be asking.
If you want to test your BASS Speaker this is one of the songs to start with, or may be "Astronaut" or
Bedroom Toys. All I'm saying is that it one Hell of a Excellent CD.
The Sound is bright and very clean. with Simon's VERY distinctive voices KICKING the whole experience up a notch.
As this technology is still very new, this DUAL DISC is a wonderful way to start. Every song has it's own Chapter/Track picture and its in keeping with the CD theme. However these pictures are not of Duran Duran but Abstract pictures that were done buy there Graphic artist, any one of these pictures could be hanging on one of the boys walls at
home.
There is 22 min of video footage also on the disc as well. "I wont go into that", I have to leave something for a surprise.
If you are thinking of buying or if you have got a DVD player and Surround Sound amp, Pay the money and Buy a copy .
