Great CD Jan 14, 2010 Journey is back, this is a great CD. Bought for my wife, but we are all enjoying it.
Dork in the red pants? Dec 06, 2009
Who's the dork in the red pants?
A Sammy Hagar, stand-in, wanna-be?
Sorry, but this guy sucks in comparison to the real thing.
He strains for half the range, and lacks the dynamics, even as younger rip-off artist compared to the older man, real thing, Steve PERRY.
We won't even waste time comparing a 20-something Perry to this miserable imitator.
Maybe, he serves a purpose for "Journey's" retirement planning, but that's about it.
Real Journey fans never buy cheap copies!
Wow!!! Jun 26, 2009 The greatest Rock Record Ever Made!!!! Steve Augeri definitely shines on his first record with Journey. As a matter of fact everybody Shines on this record, it is the closest thing to perfection ever produced by a rock band, from the songwriting, to the production, sound quality. Everything just came together here.
The Experimental/New Direction Album Apr 06, 2009 Arrival to me is like any band's crossroad Album. It features some new things that work like "We Will Meet Again" and "Signs of Life" some old stuff that works like "With Your Love" and "Higher Place" and new stuff that doesn't fit the band like "Live and Breathe" and "Nothin' Comes Close". Personally this is Journey's Worst album as a whole but I managed to find some songs I liked such as "We Will Meet Again", "With Your Love", and "Higher Place". The Arrival eventually lead to the better sounding Generations which was great and eventually led to Revelation, which to me, is the best Journey Album from this decade. Overall if you're a fan, you might wanna check it out, but if you're just a casual fan, steer clear of this.
One of Journey's Most Underrated Albums Jan 21, 2009 I like many was very skeptical when first purchasing this cd. I knew Steve Perry was gone, but I was curious as to see if the band could keep it together with this cd. Well they did and they came through big time. This album should have been much bigger than it was. There are at least four songs that had potential to make it on billboard's hot 100 chart. The album itself keeps the signature Journey sound. Some songs that stand out on the album include:
Higher Place
All the Way
Signs of Life
With your Love
