All the 1 stars are fake - GREAT CD Nov 03, 2009 If you check, 7 of the 8 ONE STAR raters have only ONE review: this one. Meaning they are probably all fake from a mad, former band member or something. The 8th one only has TWO reviews both with in a couple days, so that one is probably faked also. Shame and waste.
Dag's 635 has great tunes, fine recordings and singable lyrics. Quite a few of these tunes probably could have been number one hits given the right money backing.
If you can still find it, get it and enjoy it.
Ignore the jaded fake reviewers.
Awesome Purchase - Exceptional service without question! Oct 07, 2009 I am so very pleased with my DAG 635 CD purchase. It arrived on time and in exceptional condition and I have been enjoying it ever since.
I would definitely purchase similar items from this seller and recommend them to my friends without question. I am a very satisfied customer - thank you!
What happened to them? Anyhow.. Dec 31, 2007 I've been impressed by their stuff, I picked this CD up at a 1/2 price books for 4 dollars. I had listened to this one before on Rhapsody.. But the "Lovely Jane" I got off a cd that Right Guard (the anti-persperint guys) had put out as a promotional CD called "Buzz Cuts".. A college buddy gave me it saying "I don't want this CD because that Lovely jane sounds like a Christian song".. Whateva.. I like their stuff, I think they were just poorly marketted, caught in that post nirvana alternative grunge glut.. The same sort of stuff you can find playing on second hand dime store non-youtube video sites (like singingfool). Notice all the stuff that is being thrown away is 90s stuff, no 80s, no 70s, no 2000s.... 90s!
Because there was just soooooo much 90s stuff, and it was fighting a up-hill battle with mp3s, napster, lots of really good bands like DAG, I guess got caught in the cross-fire and disappeared.. I agree, this is one of those "last cd's to keep the band alive", but I'm finding a few videos on the web, in youtube, an old 90s german band doing a version of lovely jane. But also found a korean band doing "Supercollider"!! So maybe they shoudl do the Queen-thing, play Korea, then make a second entry into the American market.. Note, what really sells now is live performances and touring guys.. DAG, google chann3lz and add your videos, music to my site.. It's possible the writer, or someone in the band went crazy or shot themselves in the head, thus the band can never come back, but I really really think there is a chance.. I probably have too wide a variety of tastes, but I'd place dag in the Jamiroquai meets Stevie Wonder, a love triangle or music triangle or something..
If you like the Funk and a good vibe, you NEED this CD Apr 11, 2007 "You Make me Feel" (Track #3 on this CD) is playing as I type this review, and I feel bad for anyone who hasn't heard this album. Huge rays of sunshine are blasting through my speakers, and I can hear Prince and Stevie Wonder and Sly & The Family Stone calling out, begging all the world to enjoy the hot funk and jazz vibe of this unrecognized masterpiece.
Please, buy this album and share it with someone you love. You'll never forget the day.
More than Funk, its great music Apr 17, 2005 I followed DAG when they were together to several live performances and they were fantastic live and I really miss seeing them, that being said, I would like to say that this CD is great. I still listen to it often. There is nothing like it on the radio today. It is fun and funky and written and performed very well. Listen for yourself, you will not be disappointed.
