 Amazing Luther Jul 04, 2009
An Evening of Songs A fine fine evening listening to Luther. Just as incredible as he always is.

I ENJOYED THIS CONCERT DVD, IT WAS VERY GOOD. I LOVE LUTHER VAN DROSS' BEAUTIFUL VOICE, I MISS HIM GREATLY.

Even after reading all of the reviews I ordered this DVD just because it's Luther and not expecting very much. What I saw was someone in the control room getting crazy or happy with camera switches. In 1994 Luther was fighting for his professional career and this DVD reflects that struggle with his label and self.
The chance to film a PBS special should have been a big deal had he been releasing anything BUT an album of cover songs. Those cover songs for the most part were duds for Luther and the label put very little into promoting this. Most true fans like myself most likely have that album or CD somewhere safe like the attic or basement.
Anyways as a true fan I would have to say that this DVD is worth having just for the starting songs and self-edited by hitting eject at the cover songs. By the way Luther was about as tacky dressed as Ive ever seen him, not his style normally for the U.S. crowds.
Buy this DVD only to smile hearing Luther talk during the interview sections and perhaps for the first half songs.

This man has had a gift the world is better for, having his life and gift share accross the world. God knew exactly what he was doing when gave Lou to the world and Lou carried out his purpose.

This video was so amazing - Luther at his best. His singing, crooning and showmanship is absolutely outstanding.
I would recommend this video to any Luther Vandross dedicated fans.
Luther, you are and always will be one of the best entertainers ever.
