5Hate them now love them later  Sep 24, 2005
Ive been a fan of mobb deep since i saw 8 Mile which isn't that long actaully just wehn i heard shook ones part 2 i knew they were somehting different and they sure are this album is solid grimy, party, pure gangsta stuff now let me walk you thru this masterpiece...
1.Amerikaz Nightmare- Certianly a great set up for what mobb deep is and what this album is gonan be hard hittign beats grimy lyrics and tha classic "Dun" style. The beat is so hard you'll wanna slow down when your driving haha and the lyrics are dope with p and hav hittin off each others stlyes.10/10
2.Win or Lose-This is one of those tracks that i wait for in rap, it has a great course due to stellar sampling from alchemist that keeps goin on in the background and great lyrics about the struggle to get that paper and the luxuries of being rich now i absolutely love this song! 10/10
3.Flood the Block- Gangsta. sum real fast spittin over a crazy beat this track will have your head bobbin non-stop! 9/10
4.Dump- it aint a hit til nate dogg spit holds true on this song to be honest i used to hate this song whjen i first heard it but after a while it just got me nate does a great job on the course and hooks, the beat is stellar of course and the lyrics are quite good too. 8/10
5.Got it Twisted- do i even have to say it Classic, this was the first single for a reason its pure mobb deep hardcore hard hittin and a party banger. This song can hold up at hte club or a gangsta party and the beat has been used in so many remixes such as Eminem and fabolous classic. 10/10
6.When U Hear The- why isnt Mobb Deep big yet? Why? haha im so glad there signed to G-unit now they'll finally get the paper they deserve and finally become a household name this track is in my top 3 on this album and my top 5 of Mobb's whcih is saying a lot once agai nthis beat has been used in many remixes such as G-Unit ironically enuff get it! 10/10
7.Real Ni***z- WHatd u expect hard as fark gangsta as hark and the Dun style come out big itme here. 10/10
8.Shorty Wop- Shorty wop wop fatty and she hot hot!!! My god this track is the track of the CD and my second fave of theirs certainyl in my top 10 fave songs of all time! I always play this song for anyone i meet it always leaves them saying who the fark is mobb deep why arent they big and stuff like that bump this at your party in your trunk your headphones anywheres and youll be bouncin boi! 10/10
9.Real Gangstaz- Lil jon producing mobb deep??? haha thats what i was like but it works of course cuz that dun style fits perfect with the dirrty dirrty its over man. 10/10
10.One of ours part 2- Mobb Deep team up with long time friend jadakiss who mite be an enemy now.... but anyways he fits perfect on this gangsta arse track that gets your neck snappin cawp it. 9/10
11. On the Run- They on the run now, dont mess with their hustle dont push them or youll ge tshot haha p[ure gangsta stuff and as usual their lyrics are crazy how cann ppl hate on their lyrics in otehr reviews the ymost love the bulls**t i guess holla at deep. 10/10
12.Throw Your Hands- Kanye West gives a helping hand here with a great beat as he always does its not close to my fave on the cd but certianly worth the ca$h. 8/10
13.Get Me- Noyds back with mobb and kills it over a hard hittin high pitch beat but littles hold this ong bacak a bit. 8/10

3Solid, but no "The Infamous" (3.5 stars)  Jul 18, 2005
My review title says it all. If you're looking for an album to get into Mobb Deep, then this is what you need. But if you've been a long time fan, you might be a little disappointed. Not being a long time fan of Mobb Deep, I can say that I enjoy this album, it's a solid release from one of rap's most consistent groups. Havoc and Prodigy deliver average lyrics AT BEST, compared to their exceptional previous work, and the production is slightly bland, but the album is 16 tracks of pure gangsta rap - no lazy skits or interludes, and it's solid enough that you can listen to it from front to back.

Standout tracks include - The epic "Win Or Lose", with a sample-driven beat from The Alchemist, "Flood The Block", "Dump" featuring Nate Dogg, "Got It Twisted", "One of Ours" featuring Jadakiss and "Throw Your Hands (In The Air)" produced by Kanye West. The few areas where the album falls flat are tracks that don't belong anywhere, such as "Real N****z" and the radio-friendly Lil' Jon-produced track, "Real Gangstaz." There's no place on a Mobb Deep record for a Lil' Jon track. The rest is so-so.

"Amerikaz Nightmare" is definately one of 2004's best rap releases, which isn't saying much really, but it's still worth checking out, strictly for some classic Havoc and Prodigy action.
