Great stuff Mar 17, 2006 If you are into Mustangs, get it.
There isnt much out there on these icons of the Muscle Car era so be thankfull for anything.
This DVD is fantastic value at well under $10. In Australia, if it was available it would be at least $35(AU)
A special chapter on 69's too. As that is what I have, that was an extra bonus.
Personally I dont care if the late models are not covered, early Mustangs are the real ones!! ('should be good for a bite!!)

GREAT DOCUMENTARY on the MUSTANG Oct 15, 2005 Man i cant believe the other reviews on this DVD?? IT IS AWESOME! In fact i almost didnt buy this because of the other reviews thinking it was gonna hardly show any mustangs, but it shows tons of mustangs! i mean everything from the fastbacks, shelby, Gt's, coupes, convertibles EVERYTHING. very interesting documentary and shows pleanty of old ford commercials and plenty of awesome fastbacks (which are my favs). My father and I are currently restoring a 1969 Mach 1. And was very happy to see there was a segment just on the 69 mach 1's. This DVD covers all the mustangs from the prototypes in 1962 to the late 80's mustangs. I give this DVD 5 stars seeing how it is pretty much the only mustang DVD you can find plus its awesome seeing all the vintage footage of the mustangs ripping and tearing and seeing the old commercials. Even shows the real cool carol shelby commercial when he introduces his version of the mustang! Very Cool! Now lets just hope for another documentary leading up to the brand new 2005 mustangs!

Good DVD for a Mustang Fan Sep 29, 2005 This DVD shows very good restored and original Ford Mustangs but I think that could be better if chapters are indexed by model year, because they are a little mixing and makes some confusing.
By last I'm living in Mexico, so I appreciated more languages for the DVD, is only available in English.

misleading title Dec 11, 2004 "Americas Favorite Cars - Mustang 40th Anniversary (2004)" is a very misleading title. The DVD cover states: "The Complete Mustang 40th Anniversary". Sounds exciting, doesn't it?. Well, instead, they should label it "Mustang 25th anniversary (1991)". Unlike the book "THE COMPLETE MUSTANG" by Mike Mueller, which includes the new 2005, the DVD shows only the first 25 years, not 40. It is just a transfer to DVD from a video made to celebrate the 25th Anniversary. Also it becomes tiresome because is a documentary without much dynamic. It does have some very interesting footage and facts. But some of the footage is not that good even for the year it was filmed (these segments look fussy on my big screen). Only the awesome Mustang and its history save this DVD from being a total waste. I guess the price is OK for this now (under $4.00), but I think it is falsely advertised. At this time (Dec, 2004) there are not many DVDs on Mustangs, so I will keep it and wait for something better, an entire coverage, maybe for the 50th anniversary... Classics are great, but so are the modern ones.
