Nice to Hear Again Mar 27, 2008 I bought this when it first came out in album form. It is good to hear again. Great muscianship, vocals and some clever lyrics. I remember back when my buddies and I would sit and listen to this and track by track we could tag which bigtime band they were going for. Guess Who was always great at mocking the style of other bands and for this same reason they never were taken all that seriously as a force to compete with bands like the Doors, Zepelin or for God's sake the Beatles. If I'm not mistaken, their name implies that you should wonder from song to song "who" they are trying to sound like. Good listening here, but this is the best they had to offer and it is only a second tier in the layer cake of rock.

Three hits and no misses. Sep 11, 2007 Wow, I forgot how much I enjoye this album. I dug it out of a bunch of CDs I brough home from work when our offices moved and played it for the first time in a long time, and this time on a Marantz 2275 receiver through ADS 910 speakers and I'm just rockin' out here.
The great thing about this album is that it's got three of the most memorable hits by the Guess Who (American Woman of course being their greatest hit I would think) but everything else works too. The recording quality is quite good and will reward those with higher end systems. This is truly an iconic recording from the golden age of FM rock.
guess who? May 25, 2007 It's the Guess Who. While you will probably recognize the entirety of Side One, the second side of American Woman is just as good. The beautiful bluesy vocals and pleasing guitar work are sure to win you over. The Guess Who is just one of those instantly likeable bands, and everyone should own at least one of their albums. Owning this album wouldn't be a bad idea at all.
American Woman Mar 15, 2007 Their best album. Good mix of songs. Best demonstrates the versatility of the group.

My Kinda Music Feb 06, 2007 This 8-track was listened to so many times it wore out, then I bought a cassette version, now finally I can lay my hands on a cd, and this sounds perfect. My kinda music, no doubt.
