 Great sounds Sep 12, 2009
Derek Trucks has put together a really fine album. The slide guitar is sweet, and the band tight. I really enjoy this one!

 Derek Trucks Soars On Already Free Sep 07, 2009
This is my current favorite album. The funky blues and soul stew that is the Derek Trucks Band is in top form here. Great musicians all, but Trucks is a genius. His lack of physical expression is more than made up by his almost infinite expression with the guitar. Beyond his technical excellence, his solos are pure emotion. This is not only great music, but a musical companion to feed your soul.

I can't stop listening to this album. It just makes me feel good. These musicians play with such joy and they fit so well together, it gives me renewed faith in American music.

It's quite interesting to notice how TV appearances can alter sales of records on Amazon. DTB's Already Free was at #524 before their appearance on Good Morning America Thursday morning. Low and behold, apply booster engine, and Already Free moves up to the #120's in one day+. Any new listeners of DTB, please go to the live shows and see a great live performance by a tight unit that's been playing together for 6+ years now. I just saw the guys for the 6th time and had a terrific time yet again. I am convinced that DT will go down as the greatest guitarist of his generation for his live performances alone. Only 29, Derek will continue to grow, pleasantly surprise some long time fans, and add new ones. He's lightning in a bottle - catch him!
