Not your normal MMO Apr 14, 2009 I am pleased with the eye candy in this game, but with no full support for DirectX 10 not sure its worth the time. It is a different type MMO than I am used to. Some points make it very interesting but still I prefer WoW or LotRO.
I will give it more thought as I play through the entire 30 day free period.

Total crap. Jan 13, 2009 Luckily I only paid $5-6 (shipping included) for a brand new copy of this pile of crap game. First off, the game itself, when it was actually up and running, was somewhat entertaining but got old very fast.
The main problems I had with this game were the following:
1- Installation was a nightmare. I installed this on two machines, both well within the recommended system specs and it took FOREVER to install. On one machine the patcher just kept crashing over and over and I ended up just copying the files from the good install over my home network to the other machine which finally made it playable.
2- Crashes. Once I finally had the game installed, patched and running it crashed within the first 15 minutes of gameplay. I updated all drivers (video, directx, etc) and it crashed again 20 more minutes into gameplay. So far I have yet to make it more than 30 minutes on either system without this game crashing.
3- Video problems. After installing AOC I noticed severe video problems on OTHER games I had installed on my system, which I ended up having to reinstall to fix the problems with those games. Now however, AOC will go completely black and I have to crank up the low res. view distance setting to adjust the game to anything but high on all settings. Apparently this is a known issue that many users are having. :P
The only good thing I can say about this pile of crap game is that the community in the game was very friendly and super helpful, I never saw one bit of negativity at all, which is rare in an MMO.
Had this game actually stayed long running long enough on EITHER of my systems I might have gotten past level 20 and seen another side to this game.
Overall though I would recommend avoiding this one altogether and not wasting your time or hard drive space on it.

A miserable failure Dec 01, 2008 This is the worst strategy guide ever published. There are no words to describe the levels to which it fails other than to say any basic expectations you might have for a strategy guide, such as learning how do you do things, will be sadly missed.

Yikes Oct 31, 2008 Worthless guide. Save your money! Not only that but I am very
sorry I bott this game. Thott I would enjoy a change from WOW which I have played for about two years. It is a change alright. Be careful voting for change, might get an unpleasant surprise as I did. Actually the game is about par with Guild Wars which one can play without cost online after the purchase of the game. I will not pay to continue playing Conan. It is back to Wow. After my initial 30 days of free play ends it will be goodbye Conan.
