Good use of harmony, lyrics Oct 30, 2009 Addison Road did a great job blending harmonies (2 stars) and female vocals with overall good lyrics (1/2 star). While none of the music is incredibly complex or intricate, the songs sound good (1/2 star), and are overall pleasing to the ear (1 star). It's a good album, overall, though it could have been a little longer.
Christian Listener Oct 12, 2009 The CD is very good overall. What Do I know if Holy is s simply outstanding song.

Independent Releases Were Better Sep 12, 2009 Sometimes the major label debut of a band is not a band at their best; this is the case for Addison Road. A lot of their energy has been sapped by a relatively-new drummer and many of the creative edges have been blunted by a safe, overproduced album. Yes, there are great songs here, such as "All That Matters", "Always Love", "Run", and "What Do I Know of Holy". However, "Hope Now" lacks the dynamics of the previous version, and substitutes strings instead. Gah. There's even a bit of America-bashing with "Casualties" (the American dream is not about getting rich and never was -- the American dream is the dream of doing better through hard work and the freedom to do so). You'd be better served by buying individual tracks from their independent releases, or simply buying them outright. This album is a 50%-er.
You're Gonna Like Addison Road.....I Guarantee It Jun 09, 2009 This is one of those CD's where you can listen to every song on the album and every song is unique. This band is going to be around for awhile, and will be gaining a lot of fans as they go. If you're a fan of pop-rock that isn't cheesy, then I suggest giving Addison Road a shot
Best CD in a long time Jun 08, 2009 The theme of this album is definitely love--the love of God and loving his people. I love turning it up and singing loudly. there is a great variety in song--they don't all sound alike. you wont be disappointed!
