Bon Scott "is" awesome! Sep 12, 2009 A good way to learn about the BEST rock group of all times.
Go AC/DC.

AC/DC "Plug Me In" box set May 22, 2009 I would have given this box set a perfect score if BIG GUN would have been put on it. It's one of the bands best rockers, and there is no reason what so ever that it shouldn't have been included in this box set, as it was released on a movie soundtrack rather then an AC/DC only release (besides a rare single). Doesn't make sense.
For AC/DC fans Nov 23, 2008 Make sure you get the 3cd edition. For the occasional AC/DC fan that should be enough. However for the hardcore fan this might not be enough. There are lots more great material out there, so AC/DCology 1, #2,#3...
Bring it on.......

The most entertaining rock band on stage. Oct 18, 2008 I'm paraphrasing here, but Angus Young once said, in all sincere modesty, something to the effect of, "If I'm not into it, the audience isn't into it. I have to be on point every night." And, boy, when this guy is on, he is ON. Watching Angus duck-walk to the left and shuffle to the right while furiously banging his head in rhythm to Phil Rudd's steady 4/4 beat is a sight to behold. And the guy never lets up. The man embodies the true spirit of rock and roll. In my estimation, the greatest showman in rock history.
While I'll forever favor the Bon Scott era, I dig AC/DC in all forms. They stick to a formula that works for me and millions of others. And they've been doing it for over thirty years. This DVD collection is, so far, the best documentation of their progression from rowdy club circuit band to one of the most successful music acts of the 20th century. Make sure you don't settle for the two-disc version as there's some real gems found on the generous "bonus" disc of the Limited Edition.
Audio/video quality is as good as can be expected from some of the older material. Personally, I think the defects of this vintage material only adds to the charm. Concert videos are too "perfect" and glossy these days. I like it raw (and it works perfectly with the spirit of AC/DC's music).
AC/DC brings the energy, making this is one of my favorite pick-me-up music DVD packages. Highly recommended.
Essential for any AC/DC fan May 30, 2008 The 3-disc edition is for any serious AC/DC fan. The extra material on the 3rd disc makes the set feel complete and the reproduction swag is a nice touch too.
