Why oh Why... Jun 02, 2009 do artists need to put 10 minutes of dead silence to get to the bonus track? otherwise would have given cd 4 stars
Incredible! May 06, 2009 Oh crap - is this good or what? Take a chance. Listen. You WILL NOT be disappointed.
Teddy is Terrific! Jan 22, 2009 This is an amazing album, which grabs you from the opening riff of "Things I Do." But it only gets better."Can't Sing Straight" is an amazing cut, getting a lot of airplay on Sirius' Outlaw Country, but it really defies genre category. He just rocks. I gotta see this guy live. This is a great singer/songwriter.
Don't hate yourself, Teddy Thompson, you rock. Jan 11, 2009 Teddy Thompson may always sing about how much he despises himself, but I don't hate him. "Up Front and Down Low" is one of the best CDs I got last year, and "Separate Ways" is pretty amazing, too. They're all good. This one is probably my least favorite of the three, but that's not really saying a lot, because it's still amusing, smart, and gorgeous.
A realy good listen Jan 06, 2009 Like many people I am a great fan of Richard Thompson, Teddy's dad, and having gone to see Teddy live out of curiosity I was impressed.
It is a nice little album with some wonderful songs but a couple of slow and gloomy ones which I don't particularly like. The music is country style without ever becoming full blown country music and his simple composing combined with his clear melodic voice are sure to make it popular. I like it a lot.
