A book that does not even know the world map Nov 15, 2009 Interesting book but I got skeptical about the writer especially after he put some countries under wrong continents or regions.
Great for the traveler Oct 04, 2009 Great for either planning a trip or as you travel and drive through an area. It includes the typical tourist places you would expect but also attractions that you may never have heard of. It includes enough information to decide if it's a place you are interested in as well as giving a little history and information about the town or area in general. At first I didn't like the way areas are grouped together, but as I used the book it made sense. Of course out of the 1,000 spots you aren't going to be interested in all of them, that's the point. You pick the spots that interest you. Definitely an addition to a travelers bookcase.

Book Review Sep 01, 2009 Everything was perfect. The transaction was fast and the books arrived in perfect condition. I like that the books were individually wrapped. Thank you

Great reference Aug 09, 2009 Wonderful book that brings to light places that might be a secret to you or that might be ignored. Great book to travel with.

Not as good as the first one Jul 13, 2009 I heartily agree with the comments by "openskies." If you took out the spas, ski resorts and restaurants, there would only be 500 places in the book. Occassionally Schultz would lump places together that each deserved their own mention and then other times would split apart things that seemed to go together like "summer festivals of Montreal" and the "Montreal Jazz Festival." My biggest complaint with the book was the coverage of Canada. Even though it is bigger than the USA and an incredibly beautiful nation with great tourist destinations, it only received about 100 of the 1001 places. I thoroughly enjoyed her first book, but the coverage was too uneven in this one.
